Different online dating sites provide a varied level of optional security services, from background checks to secure communication through the website until both parties wish to exchange personal contact information. Jeremy Dean, researcher at University College London, who holds a masters in Research Methods in Psychology from the same institution, wrote about the success level of online dating on his blog PsyBlog. Dean cited research by Larry D. Rosen of California State University, who holds a doctorate in Psychology, and his colleagues who found 42 percent of couples between 26 and 35 in the United States first met online.
